Window Cleaning FAQ
Straight answers to the questions we hear most. If yours is not here, call 508-740-2886 and ask.
Pricing and estimates
How much does window cleaning cost?
Pricing depends on the number of windows, their size and style, how easy they are to reach, and whether you want interior glass, screens or skylights included. Every estimate is free, and you will know the full price before any work starts.
How do I get an estimate?
Fill out the estimate request form or call 508-740-2886. Many estimates can be given from the details and photos you send.
Is there a minimum charge?
Ask Andy when you request your estimate. Small jobs are welcome, and he will tell you up front what it will cost.
When and how do I pay?
Payment is collected after the work is complete. You will receive an invoice you can pay electronically.
Services
What does a window cleaning include?
Exterior cleaning covers the glass, frames and sills. Interior cleaning, screen washing, skylights, sliding doors and mirrors can be added. See residential window cleaning for the full list.
Do you clean commercial buildings?
Yes. We clean storefronts, offices, medical buildings and other low-rise properties. See commercial window cleaning.
My windows look cloudy even after cleaning. Can you fix that?
Possibly. A chalky haze that will not wash off is often oxidation or mineral build-up, which we can treat. See oxidation removal. If the fog is between the panes, the seal has failed and cleaning will not help.
Our method
What is pure water window cleaning?
Tap water is filtered on site until the minerals are removed. The purified water is fed through a soft brush on a pole, lifts the dirt and dries without spots. Read more about the pure water method.
Do you use soap or chemicals?
No. We use no chemicals at all, inside or out. Only purified water touches the outside of your windows.
Do you use ladders?
Rarely. The water-fed pole lets us clean upper floors from the ground, which is safer and keeps ladders off your siding and gutters.
Is it safe for plants and pets?
Yes. Pure water contains no detergents, so runoff is harmless to landscaping and animals.
Scheduling and the day of service
How often should I have my windows cleaned?
Twice a year suits most homes: spring and fall. Homes near busy roads, the water or heavy tree cover may want it more often. Businesses usually stay on a recurring schedule.
When is the best time of year?
Spring, after the pollen settles, and fall, before winter. We clean throughout the season as weather allows.
Do I need to be home?
Not for exterior-only work, as long as we can reach every window and an outdoor spigot is on. For interior cleaning, someone needs to let us in.
What if it rains?
Light rain does not affect the result, because rainwater is not what leaves spots. In heavy rain, wind or unsafe conditions we will reschedule.
How long does it take?
Most homes are finished in a few hours. Larger homes or inside-and-out jobs take longer. Andy will give you an idea when he confirms your appointment.
How should I prepare?
Close your windows, unlock gates, and make sure the outdoor water is turned on. For interior work, move fragile items away from the sills.
