Window cleaning where the Marathon begins
Best known as the starting line of the Boston Marathon, Hopkinton has grown a great deal, with many newer neighborhoods of large homes alongside its historic center.
Newer homes often have two-story foyers, transoms and great-room windows that are hard to reach on your own. We clean them from the ground with the water-fed pole.
WHAT WE CLEAN

New construction and its particular problems
New and recently built homes come with their own issues: construction dust, paint specks, stickers and adhesive on the glass. If your house is new, mention it, because a first clean after construction takes longer than a routine one.
Once that first clean is done, twice-yearly maintenance keeps the windows looking the way they did on move-in day.
Lakes and state park land
Hopkinton State Park, Lake Whitehall and the woods around Woodville keep much of the town heavily forested. Pollen is the main seasonal problem, followed by leaf tannin stains on sills in the fall.
Lake-view homes get the usual waterside extras: spider webs and insect marks around exterior lights and soffits.
Around the center and Route 135
The older homes near the town common and along Route 135 and Route 85 have traditional sashes and storms. Shops near the center can book storefront cleaning, and many like to have it done ahead of Marathon weekend in April.

Hopkinton window cleaning questions
Do you do post-construction window cleaning in Hopkinton?
Yes. New builds and renovations leave dust, paint and adhesive on the glass. It takes extra time and care, and Andy will quote it separately from a routine clean.
My great-room windows are about twenty feet up. Can you clean them?
Yes, outside and inside. Exterior glass is cleaned with the water-fed pole; interior high windows are reached with extension tools.
Do you clean homes on Lake Whitehall?
Yes. We clean homes around the lake and throughout Woodville.
Can my shop be cleaned before the Marathon?
Yes. The weeks before Marathon weekend are popular with businesses near the center, so it is worth booking early.
